Last week we met someone on top of Pulpit Rock saying he was headed to Kjerag the next day and asked if the roads were opened yet from winter. We told him perhaps not since we were just around that area at the cabins the day before and there was quite a bit of snow. Glad we were right and didn't just tell him lies! This picture was taken just two days ago! -- A press release from the Norwegian road authorities states that the road between Brokke in Setesdal and Suleskar in Sirdal will open Saturday the 23rd of May -- and here is a picture from the preparations!

Moving and traveling anywhere is a bit of an uphill climb like this funicular. Slow and steady, a bit of struggle, but the views are worth it. Just accepted a 9-5 type of job. Going to have to fit in my daily does of Norway during my lunch breaks!

Arctic beaches that look like this?! Where is the snow? I never really think of the beaches when I picture Norway, just fjords fjords fjords, but it makes sense they would have some pretty spectacular beaches since the country does have a huge coastline.
